Primary Objectives:

• To carry out operation and maintenance of all transmission equipment.

• To carry out installation works for Projects on submarine cable systems.

• To keep and records of all events happen in the transmission equipment.

Summary of Main Duties:

• Perform operation and (routine/emergency) maintenance of the transmission equipment and telecommunication systems at our section.

• Test, implement and troubleshoot communication equipment and links faults.

• Develop, execute and update operational procedures of the transmission equipment.

• Perform 24×7 standby/callout duties and attend to technical faults including fault localization and repair works (with minimum outage time).

• Prepare and submit reports to transmission A/E and ES & Tx Manager regarding transmission related activities.

• Carry out site survey, inspection and installation relating to transmission projects.

• Participate and assist in the replacement or installation of major parts and in other disciplines within the structure of transmission Systems as directed by A/E and ES & Tx manager.

• Provide support to regions on maintenance, repairs, and installation works for transmission network equipment or services as directed by A/E and ES & Tx manager.

• Maintain and update documentation of all equipment, interconnection services and spares in transmission.

• Participate and assist in ordering all transmission requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecomm Engineering (preverbally 80% and above).

• Good communication skills (both written and verbal).

• Good knowledge of English language written and spoken.

• Knowledge in using PC’s and associated software packages.

• Good physical health, and valid driving license.

• Up to six months consolidation period.
