Primary Objectives:

• The Information Security Engineer plays a critical role in protecting the organization’s information assets from internal and external threats.

• This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.

• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security technologies, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Summary of Main Duties:

Security Operations:

• Manage security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, Endpoint Security, Encryption, and vulnerability scanners.

• Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts for suspicious activity.

• Investigate security incidents and implement corrective actions.

• Respond to security breaches and implement incident response procedures.

Security Architecture and Design:

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions for various systems and networks.

• Conduct risk assessments and identify security vulnerabilities.

• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards.

• Research and evaluate emerging security technologies and trends.

Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 27001).

• Conduct security audits and assessments.

• Develop and maintain security awareness training programs for employees.

• Collaboration:

• Work closely with IT and business teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the organization.

• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in information security.

• Strong understanding of security concepts and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, and encryption.

• Experience with security incident response and forensics.

• Knowledge of security regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
