Primary Objectives:

• To inspect, check, maintain and repair all sites standby Gensets and its’ ATS, Transformers, Earthing and lightening protection systems

• To inspect, check and maintain site UPS, Rectifiers and batteries.

• To inspect, check and maintain site’s Air conditioning.

• To control the maintenance and operational efficiency of the power plant (Electrical & Mechanical).

• To inspect, check and control the fuel tanks level and conditions.

• To raise weekly, monthly reports for the above-mentioned tasks.

Summary of Main Duties:

Supervision:

• Determine the priorities of workload and staffing levels.

• Supervise & control the day-to-day engineering & administrative & control of subordinate staff.

• Ensure that staff discipline is maintained & safety regulation are followed.

Engineering

• Provide technical backup for subordinate staff.

• Ensure that all laid down maintenance procedures are carried out to required standards of operation & safety.

• Where necessary assist installation or manufacture staff in power plant mechanical installation.

• Ability to read and understand mechanical and Electrical diagrams and drawings.

• Control of spare parts orders for Gensets, UPS, Rectifiers, & A/C’s & diesel sets (Electrical & Mechanical Parts)

Planning

• In liaison with Manager Electrical and Mechanical Systems plan maintenance routines and schedules.

• Plan introduction and installation of new facilities to meet short- and long-term needs.

• Assist in detailed planning for implementation of contingency/restoration/transition requirements affecting the section.

Financial

• Assist to prepare budget estimate for Power plant and A/C’s cost center.

• Control of overtime & operate within the restrictions of approved budget.

Administration

• Ensure that maintenance record is correctly kept.

• Prepare monthly technical reports, and O.T & attendance cards.

• Prepare requisitions.

• Orders of Electrical and Mechanical (Power Plants and A/C’s) spare parts

Call Out

• Be available for standby/callout duties as necessary

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/ Electrical or Micha-electronics Engineering (preverbally 80% and above).

• Experience in power plant (mechanical) is plus.

• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical diagrams & Drawings.

• Valid driving license.

• Medium level of English language.
